Edge Treatments
Binding
We offer custom binding for sisal, sea grass and all natural types of area rugs, in a wide variety of materials, widths and colors. Either fabric or hand-sewn borders may be selected to finish, protect and strengthen your rug, adding a decorative yet functional touch to the overall design.
- Cotton Machine Binding - the most economical discrete edge finish. Corinthian stocks an extensive color line to match the rug exactly.
- Wide Bind - gives the rug a "border" look without the cost of fabric or carpet. Available in almost limitless color and texture choices with mitered or lapped corners.
Fringing
For a traditional hand-tied appearance, we can finish your rug in a variety of fringes. There are many different styles and sizes to choose from, each with its own qualities and design considerations. Our design consultants can help you select just the right fringe to complete your rug.
Serging
We provide serging for rug designs best complimented with a subtle edge finish. Serging, which is typically found on woven or hand-tied rugs, utilizes heavy, coordinating yarn that is sewn around the edge in a close, overcast stitch. This provides a nice finish to the rug without detracting from the design.
